摘要
A new procedure is developed to solve Laplace's equation which represents the potential distribution around a dielectric particle with arbitrary axisymmetric charge located near a conducting plane. This problem is reduced to a problem of two identical spheres, and our new procedure solves it using spherical coordinates rather than bispherical coordinates by considering the symmetry and using re-expansion technique. This procedure is then applied to the problem of a partially charged particle as an example.
