摘要
Various inspection methods were studied to permit efficient detection of flaws on overhead transmission lines caused by lightning or long-term fatigue. The results suggest that an electromagnetic induction method promises to be highly feasible for detecting flaws. Consequently, a new detector that utilizes the electromagnetic induction method has been developed to locate flaws and detect the degree of flaw. This paper describes the results of laboratory and field tests using the newly-developed flaw detector. The detector was found to be a quick and accurate tool for inspecting flaws on conductors. © 1990 IEEE
