A STUDY OF THE HYDRATION PROCESS OF CEMENT PASTES BY MEANS OF OSCILLATORY RHEOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES

摘要
In this work the hydration process of cement pastes has been studied by means of an oscillatory rheological technique. To this aim, pastes were produced with a W/C ratio ranging from 0.32 to 0.40 by using cements with three different specific surfaces. Tests were accomplished with the coaxial cylinder viscometer Rotovisko-Haake 20, system M5-Osc., measuring device MV3. A time sweep with a 0.1 constant frequency was applied. A model has been proposed for describing the dynamic viscosity variation with time.
