We consider the chiral Schwinger model in order to clarify certain points concerning its nonlocal quantum theory constructed in Ref. 1 in the framework of the canonical quantization scheme. In particular, we derive the transition rules between the nonlocal quantum theory of the model and the standard classical one. We obtain the spectrum of the quantum Hamiltonian on the physical Hilbert space. Finally, we show that the nonlocality does not violate microcausality.
