摘要：

This survey concerns the structure of data on phase diagrams and the necessity of their topologic description. Approaches are formulated to choosing topologic invariants of a phase diagram and using them for the topologic characterization of diagrams. Sample use of the topologic approach for constructing the liquidus surface of the Cu-Ni-S system using experimental data is given.
