摘要
The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of video applications for increasing motivation and game performance in children playing basketball. The study has been conducted on the basis of youth sports schools of Anqing city, Anhui province, People's Republic of China (PRC) in May–August 2020. The authors of this research selected two teams (control and experimental groups) with 11–12 years old participants. Each team included 12 junior male athletes. The study used the game performance assessment tool (GPAT) and Sport motivation questionnaire (SMQ) both for pre-test and post-test (before and after experimantal interventional). As a result, the study identified a positive effect of the use of video applications on game performance and motivation indicators for the experimental group (p < 0.05). This program can be used in a wide range of sports clubs and teams associated with basketball, both by individual players or teams and by coaches of these teams.
