摘要
The regularities of the self-focusing and filamentation of spatially focused ultrashort laser radiation in the air have been studied theoretically. The influence of the initial beam focusing on the size and power parameters of the formed filaments has been analyzed. It has been found that the focusing of femtosecond laser radiation can lead to the formation of several spatial zones characterized by a weak change of the beam radius. These zones have a different length and are characterized by different values of the peak intensity of the pulse, the minimal beam size, and the density of free electrons depending on the strength of focusing. © 2010, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
