摘要
The description of a new species of plunderfish, Pogonophryne maculiventrata, is based on materials that were collected during expeditions on the research vessel Professor Siedlecki to West Antarctica. The holotype was caught in the Bransfield Strait at a depth of 360 m. P. maculiventrata is different from the other four species of the "marmorata" group by spots at the bottom of thorax and belly and proportions of mental barbel and structure of its terminal expansion. The key for identification of species from this group has been compiled. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
