This case study deals with symptom control of malignant bowel obstruction in patients suffering from recurrent ovarian carcinoma. The objective of the paper is to analyse various options of medical and surgical treatment. Relevant factors which have to be considered when deciding on the most efficient and adequate therapeutical approach are discussed and elaborated on. © Springer-Verlag 2006.
