摘要
How can new drug lead suggestions be inferred from neurophysiological models? This paper addresses this question based on a case study of research into Parkinson's disease at the Groningen University Department of Pharmacy. It is argued that neurophysiological box-and-arrow models can be understood as qualitative differential equation models. An inference task is defined to help understand and possibly aid the discovery and explanation of new drug lead suggestions. © 2000 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
