摘要
The stainless steel family play major role in corrosive environments, mainly in onshore and offshore applications. The super duplex stainless steel (SDSS32760) work piece material that was used in the current study was a rectangular block with dimensions of 30 mm by 20 mm and an axial length of 400 mm. The AMS Make CNC three-axis vertical milling machine is used to carry out the experiment. A Medilab-3000N three-component piezo-electric mill tool dynamometer was utilised. Milling was accomplished on super duplex stainless steel by means of the aforementioned equipment. The shows that a higher cutting speed resulted in lower cutting forces, but a higher feed rate resulted in higher cutting forces. Researchers have shown that boosting machining forces also boosts the depth of cut. It has been found that higher cutting speeds result in reduced surface roughness values while machining super duplex steel. © The Institution of Engineers (India) 2023.
