The paper reports on underlying principles of the low-frequency electron spin resonance method using the correlation function for operators describing the dipole–dipole interaction between spins randomly modulated by the exchange interaction. Using the above method as the basis, we propose a semiempirical method which enables one to study and control the internal parameters of working matters of the transducers of quantum magnetometers, in particular, the frequency of the exchange interaction between spins and the frequency of their dipole–dipole interaction associated with the second moment of the resonance curve. The relation between these frequencies is representative of the mechanism of formation of the electron spin resonance curve in the working matters. This must be taken into account in their metrological certification.
