Synthesis and X-ray Diffraction Characterization of Cu2LnSb3S7 (Ln = La, Nd)

摘要
Using the sealed-ampule technique, the compounds Cu2LnSb3S7 (Ln = La, Nd) were synthesized for the first time. Cu2LaSb3S7 and Cu2NdSb3S7 crystallize in the orthorhombic system and have identical crystal structures. The lattice parameters of Cu2LaSb3S7 are a = 14.43 Å, b = 21.42 Å, and c= 3.97 Å those of Cu2NdSb3S7 area = 14.463 Å, b= 21.404 Å, and c = 3.962 Å. Between 1080 and 1095 K, both compounds decompose to form disordered CuSbS2–LnSbS3 solid solutions.
