摘要
There is a new area of research emerging around the usage of micro-silica in concrete, and it has the potential to influence all other fields. There are several different definitions of micro-silica research that have been presented by researchers. Due to the small size of its particles, micro-silica may be useful in building restoration. It improves the concrete's resistance to moisture by increasing its packing density. This study examines the effects of varying percentages of micro-silica in the conventional concrete on its compressive strength, workability, splitting tensile strength, and water absorption capacity. The range of micro-silica content is from 0 to 5% at a 1% interval. According to the results of the experiments, the mechanical characteristics of strength grow with the growth of micro-silica ingression in the concrete, while the workability of the concrete deteriorates. Cluster analyses of water absorption and compressive strength were conducted, as were correlation analyses of compressive strength with water absorption capacity and split tensile strength. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
