摘要：
The need and unavoidability of further growth of nuclear power in the world and promising directions for growth of nuclear power in Russia are discussed. A characteristic feature for the next few decades will be further improvement of VVÉR reactors. Fast reactors will be required. The importance of building low-capacity nuclear power plants is pointed out and the basic technical-economic requirements which such plants must satisfy are formulated.
