摘要
Even in the era of broad-spectrum antibiotics, necrotising fasciitis is still a life-threatening disease. It occurs not only after direct skin laceration but also in contused areas with secondary hematogenic infection. Early diagnosis and immediate surgical intervention are imperative to improve the survival rate. This disease often leads to secondary multiorgan, (particularly renal) failure. A pathophysiological pathway based on an immunological disorder of the host is presented in relation to a case report.
