Kommunikation und Kooperation zwischen sozialwissenschaftlicher und evolutionär-anthropologischer Forschung ist durch einige Verständigungsbarrieren erschwert. In diesem Beitrag werden die wichtigsten dieser Probleme systematisch geordnet und auf die folgenden Fragen hin analysiert: Wo stehen der Annäherung sozialwissenschaftlicher und evolutionär informierter Anthropologie nur Missverständnisse, Falschauffassungen oder ideologisches Misstrauen im Wege; wo sind es unterschiedliche methodologische Herangehensweisen oder paradigmatische Grundüberzeugungen; und wie lassen sich diese Hindernisse interdisziplinärer Theorieintegration überwinden?
