Zonisamide: An effective adjunctive therapy for the treatment of adults with refractory partial epileptic seizures

Zonisamide is a new-generation, broad-spectrum antiepileptic drug (AED), which is chemically unrelated to other AEDs. In pivotal studies, zonisamide was effective as an add-on treatment for adults with partial epileptic seizures unresponsive to monotherapy or combination therapy with other AEDs.
