Electrophoretic properties of binary alkali-silicate glasses

摘要：
The electrokinetic potentials of annealed and melt-quenched lithium-, sodium-, and potassium-silicate glasses are reported as determined by the amplitude-frequency method of microelectrophoresis in relation to their chemical analysis and the duration of hydration of their surface in water. It is shown that the most accurate and reliable values of the electrokinetic potential can be obtained solely for glasses of low solubility.
