摘要:
The effect of the beam patterns of a subsurface locator and their positions with respect to the interface between two media on the frequency characteristic of the received signal is discussed. A remarkable phenomenon is "focusing" in the near-field zone, which enables one to separate signals due to objects at different depths by selecting separations between the antennas. Experimental investigations of signals due to objects buried underground have fully confirmed the assumptions of the model and theoretical conclusions.
