It has been analyzed the stressed state of diesel drive gear of YaM3 model. It is shown that if the fuel injection pressure is increased, the contact and bending stresses in the gears increase. It has been obtained the relationships between the gear stresses and the fuel pump torque, which is determined by injection pressure. © Allerton Press, Inc. 2009.
