摘要
Modeling and analysis of serially coupled optical hextuple ring resonator (HRR) architecture have been done in this work. Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) as core with air as cladding has been used as the constituent waveguide material for the said structure. Delay line signal processing technique in z-domain has been employed for analyzing this architecture. Vernier principle along with Mason’s gain formula has been used for formulating the transfer function of the system. The results obtained ensure its realistic candidature for delay line, and it can be fabricated using silicon photonics. The signal flow distribution, time domain analysis, height plot of the signal dissipation and since the couplings between different waveguides play a major role in tunability of the delay line; variation of coupling coefficients with inter-waveguide gaps have also been studied in this work.
