[graphic not available: see fulltext]2-(1-Adamantyl)-1H-benzimidazole has been synthesized, its nitration and reduction of the nitro derivative have been carried out. By condensation of the obtained 2-(1-adamantyl)-1H-benzimidazol-5(6)-amine with aromatic aldehydes and acyl chlorides, the corresponding novel Schiff bases and amides have been accessed.
