摘要：
This paper initially reviews ligand and receptor systemsfor the PDGF family and the signalling systemsthey use as well as their role inneural developments. It then describes the putative roleof this family in astrocytoma, meningioma, and pituitaryadenoma pathogenesis. Potential therapies with receptor antagonists ordominant negative mutants are discussed in the finalsections.
