Calculation of Phase Equilibria in Ternary Systems Uranyl Salt-Water-Organic Solvent

Simulation of extraction equilibria in systems consisting of uranyl salt (nitrate, haloacetates), water, and oxygen-containing organic solvent was performed. A method based on a thermodynamic approach was suggested for calculating equilibria, and phase diagrams of 12 extraction systems were calculated. The results were compared with available experimental data, and the efficiency of systems that were not studied experimentally was predicted. © MAIK Nauka/Interperiodica 2001.
