In der Politik Brasiliens scheint eine neue Dimension emotionaler Politik angekommen zu sein. Der Zorn des neu gewählten brasilianischen Präsidenten Jair Bolsonaro verkörpert dies besonders stark. Dennoch hat dieser Zorn jene Wähler*innen angelockt, die auf eine Besserung der wirtschaftlichen Situation und der Sicherheitslage hoffen. Ebenso scheint der Zorn einen Einfluss auf die künftige Außenpolitik Brasiliens zu haben, die nationalistisch geprägt ist und eine Abwendung von alten Maximen darstellt. Ob sich diese Politik des Zorns jedoch langfristig erfolgreich halten kann, ist fraglich.
