This review addresses the comorbidity of psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES) with other mental disorders. Data on the prevalences of affective, anxiety, psychotic, and personality disorders with PNES are presented. The role of traumatic experience in forming PNES is described. The question of the nosological independence of PNES and their place in the current classification of mental disorders is addressed separately. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
