摘要
In the literature, it is well documented that children who have daytime incontinence issues have a higher chance of having some form of behavioral or learning problem. It has been speculated that these issues may be related to their incontinence. On the other hand correction of the central nervous system problem may make these wetting problems disappear. We explore the most recent literature in functional imaging of the brain and the relationship between inherited neuropsychiatric problems and daytime wetting. The findings appear to dispel the aforementioned conclusions and tend to support an inherited or at least an altered developmental pathway for the development of daytime wetting issues. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
