摘要
The optical chirped solitons propagating in a metamaterial governed by an anomalous self-steepening effect are investigated. By using a nonlinear chirp expression, the Schrödinger equation modeling the behavior of the field is transformed to an elliptic differential equation leading to some interesting results. The intensities of the field and their corresponding chirp behave like pulse, kink and periodic waves. The amplitude of the chirping solitons is for some results greater than that of the field and less for others; meaning that the system could be used to amplify or compress an optical signal.
