摘要
Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) is a fast and widely available modality which has significant value in oncology due to excellent imaging quality. Repetitive morphological assessment of tumors and evaluation of therapy response are domains of CT. By application of dynamic CT perfusion, tumors can be characterized with respect to functional parameters non-invasively and independent of size. This article gives an overview about the mechanisms of CT perfusion and the clinical applications in the context of oncological imaging. A selective literature search was carried out regarding CT perfusion and treatment response. The use of CT perfusion enables treatment response and detection of tumor recurrence to be documented.
