A study of the transmission capability of interstate connections and the possibility of the appearance of all-system low-frequency oscillations in parallel operation of the United Power System of Russia (UPS of Russia) and countries of the former USSR with Western European power pools is presented. © 2002 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
