Results of testing alloy ÉP741NP in a hydrogen medium at a pressure of 13 and 45 MPa and a temperature of 20 – 830°C as applied to the conditions of service of elastic metallic seals of detachable joints of liquid-propellant engines are presented. The hydrogen permeability, the mechanical properties of the alloy with a tightening Ni – Ag coating, the bearing capacity under the conditions of a complexly stressed state, and the long-term strength are investigated. Tests of simulators of detachable joints with seals from alloy ÉP741NP are described. Structures from the studied alloy with a Ni – Ag coating are shown to operate successfully at a hydrogen pressure of up to 45 MPa and a temperature of up to 800°C.
