摘要：
Neben der klinischen Untersuchung sind zur Diagnosefindung im Bereich der Brustwirbelsäule verschiedene bildgebende Verfahren gefragt. Hierbei können verschiedene strukturpathologische Prozesse objektiviert werden. In erster Linie sind Fragen nach Degeneration, Entzündung, Traumafolge oder Tumor zu beantworten. Die Abgrenzung von noch normalem Befund bzw. altersentsprechender Darstellung und bereits klinisch relevantem pathologischen Prozess ist nicht in jedem Falle einfach. Für die klinische Routine jedoch ist auch unter funktionsmedizinischem Aspekt der sichere Umgang mit den einzelnen Verfahren notwendig, um ein Höchstmaß an Informationen zu gewinnen. Auf die Notwendigkeit einer möglichst exakten klinischen Fragestellung bei der Anforderung einer bildgebenden Untersuchung sei an dieser Stelle hingewiesen.
