摘要
The aim of our study is to investigate the role of resveratrol (RVS) supplementation on the elemental change that occurs in cardiac tissue as a result of strenuous exercise. The research was carried out on 32 Sprague–Dawley male rats. The experimental animals were classified into 4 groups equally. CON: The general control group, EXE: Strenuous exercise group; RVS: the group who were administered 10 mg/kg/day RVS intraperitoneal (IP) for 4 week; RVS + EXE: the group which was applied 10 mg/kg/day RVS for 4 weeks and underwent strenuous exercise; The exercise was performed until fatigue occurred. U Potassium (K), Iron (Fr), Chromium (Cr), Sodium (Na), Copper (Cu), Magnesium (Mg), Calcium (Ca) Zinc (Zn) levels were examined in cardiac tissue samples taken from experimental animals after the exercise performed at the end of the applications. The results reveal that the strenuous exercise affects the distribution of (K, Fe, Cr, Na) elements in cardiac tissue. It has been observed that RVS has an effect on (K, Fe, Cr, Na) elements, but RVS may have limited effect in groups undergoing strenuous exercise with RVS. There was also a change in Cu, Mg, Ca, Zn levels, but no significant difference was found between the groups. The results show that strenuous exercise significantly changes the distribution of some elements in the cardiac tissue. RVS has a limited effect on changing elements (Na, K, Cr, Fe). However, more research is needed for a healthy interpretation of the results.
