The possibility of making photoemissive measurements of temperature by means of the energy dispersion of photoelectrons in the field of an electrostatic lens in the cathode chamber of a photomultiplier is demonstrated. Methods of measurement and of processing experimental results are developed. The dynamics of the heating of an incandescent filament lamp after a voltage is applied to it is investigated. The time of a single measurement is 12 μsec. The systematic error in measuring the temperature of the tungsten does not exceed 0.3%.
