We analyze corrosion damages of the airframe load-bearing unit, made of aluminum alloys, of “Antonov” airplanes for 20–40 year of operation. We describe some examples of corrosion manifestations, its kinds, and ways of removal. The applicability of a series of aluminum alloys in “Antonov” airplanes is considered with regard for the influence of corrosion factor.
