Partition congruences and vanishing coefficients of products of theta functions

We establish some vanishing results on the coefficients of products of one variable theta functions. As applications, we prove some congruence properties of Andrews’ partition function EO¯(n)\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$\overline{\mathcal{E}\mathcal{O}}(n)$$\end{document} and refine Ray and Barman’s congruences.
