Aufgrund massiver demographischer Veränderungen mit erheblicher Zunahme älterer Menschen und der ihnen drohenden Einschränkungen durch Krankheit, Invalidität und Behinderung, wird eine neue Form von „aktiver Prävention“ benötigt, welche mittlerweile mit der Terminologie „Anti-Aging-Medizin“ beschrieben wird.
