摘要
Centrifugal pendulum vibration absorbers are order-tuned torsional passive dampers, nowadays used in the automotive industry to attenuate drivetrain vibration. The design and dynamics of these devices traditionally employ nonlinear analytical models hinged on perturbation methods. However, this common framework relies upon simplifying hypotheses needed to deduce closed-form solutions. On the other hand, multibody dynamics offers an effective environment to simulate complex phenomena and critical operative conditions of mechanical systems. Hence, multibody dynamical models of parallel bifilar pendulums are herein crafted to investigate the variation of the damping performance in off-design conditions. In particular, the following issues have been addressed: the evaluation of the system nonlinear behavior when the rotor-shaft is subjected to multiharmonic disturbances, the asynchronous response of the absorbers, the assessment of start and stop noises, the dynamical influence of manufacturing errors.
