We investigate spin squeezing and quantum Fisher information in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Approximate analytical expressions and the numerical analysis of spin squeezing and quantum Fisher information are derived. Spin squeezing and quantum Fisher information depend on the strength of the external transverse magnetic field and the anisotropic parameter
