摘要
The subject matter of Comparative Politics is fundamentally in flux due to changing forms of statehood and policy making practices in complex governance processes. In addition to the inherent changes in Political Science itself, this has significant effects on the research process. We will thus discuss related methodological and theoretical challenges as well as possible solutions such as multilevel analysis and diffusion research. After having briefly outlined the substantial range of topics relevant to our research, we will conclude by addressing two elements of a progressive research strategy: namely the orientation towards governance and a more substantial inter-as well as intradisciplinary cooperation. © 2007, Vieweg Verlag / Wiesbaden.
