摘要
Purpose: Oral hemangiomas are benign vascular proliferative tumors commonly on the tongue, lips, and gums. Several treatment modalities for hemangioma have been proposed, including laser photocoagulation. Methods: This study aimed to describe the technique and the outcome of 2 cases of cavernous hemangiomas located on the tongue and oral mucosa treated with a 940-nm diode laser using the photocoagulation technique. Results: Following treatment, patients demonstrated complete remission of the lesions. There were no visible scars and no evidence of recurrence after 6 months. Conclusions: Photocoagulation with a 940-nm diode laser is an effective treatment for oral hemangioma and has been suggested to be an alternative to treat vascular tumors. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
