A difference scheme is proposed for solving Navier-Stokes equations in "velocity-pressure" variables. It is constructed using one-dimensional discrete parabolic splines. The monotonizing properties of the scheme are investigated with prototype problems. © 1997 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
