Influence of upper hybrid wave on electron acceleration by Laguerre–Gaussian pulse in relativistic-ponderomotive plasma

摘要
In the present work, the dynamics of laser pulse with Laguerre–Gaussian (LG) laser profile in both space and time domains have been analyzed inside a plasma medium with an exponential density ramp. The excitation of upper hybrid wave (UHW) has been done by the propagation of laser pulse inside magnetoplasma having relativistic and ponderomotive nonlinearities. The excited UHW further accelerates the plasma electrons to high energy values. The dynamics of the LG laser pulse have been governed by two second-order coupled differential equations derived by the approach of the method of moments. The alteration in the spatiotemporal widths of the laser pulse and their effect on electron energy gain has been seen for different modes of LG pulse. Furthermore, the effect of density ramp and transverse magnetic field have also been studied.
