Model of a Pseudo-Elliptic High-Pass Filter and Its Implementation Based on the Technology of Low-Temperature Cofired Ceramics

A model of a pseudo-elliptical high-pass filter (HPF) based on quasi-lumped elements implemented using the technology of low-temperature cofired ceramics (LTCCs) is presented. Two zeros of the transmission coefficient are introduced into the fifth-order HPF circuit due to additional electrical and magnetic couplings between non-adjacent elements. The simulation results of the proposed structure are compared with measurements of the HPF model. It is shown that the LTCC technology sample manufactured according to the steepness of the amplitude-frequency response (AFR) surpasses the Chebyshev HPF on ideal elements.
