Exponential stability of laminated beam with neutral delay

摘要
Of concern is a laminated beam system with a neutral delay in the transverse displacement. We prove that despite of the destructive nature of delays in general, the solution goes back to the equilibrium state in an exponential behavior with a reasonable condition on the wave propagation speed. In other words, we prove that the dissipation through structural damping is strong enough to stabilize the system exponentially even in the presence of neutral delay.
