摘要：
In this paper, we give some necessary conditions of the density of periodic elements for cosine operator functions generated by group actions. The sufficient condition for such cosine operator functions to be chaotic is given as well. The obtained results can be applied for quotient spaces, double coset spaces and hypergroups.
