摘要
We present a brief overview of various factors in the breakdown of the rectifying metal passivity: the thickness and the presence of defects in anodic oxide films; the adsorption of aggressive ions; the solution pH and the concentration of aggressive ions and other substances in the solution, in particular, in connection with their competitive adsorption; the relation between the transport processes in the oxide film and at the film/electrolyte and film/metal interfaces.
