Quality issues of the Year 2000 problem

The paper discusses the awareness activities, training requirements and actions that are necessary for an organization to take corrective measures against the Year 2000 problem. The implications of failing to address this problem are discussed, ranging from having major ISO 9000 non-conformities, qualified company accounts, personal liability for directors, to the organization being unable to continue trading. The paper is based on a practical experience of both the authorsÕ organizations and other organizations, in addressing the problem, which is possibly the greatest quality issue that must be solved worldwide.
