摘要
An efficient and reproducible protocol for plant regeneration through in vitro culture of Indian spinach (Beta palonga) is reported. Shoot buds were obtained both from blade petiole transition zones and midribs of fully expanded leaves. Murashige and Skoog's basal medium supplemented with naphthaleneacetic acid and benzyladenine (each at 1 mg 1-1) resulted in high frequency shoot organogenesis. Histological studies showed that the origin of shoot primordia was sub epidermal.
